The Mr England competition is organised by Angie Beasley.  Angie started organising beauty contests back in the 1980s in Leeds where she worked for Mecca Leisure.  The former beauty queen (a winner of 25 beauty contests in the 1980s) then became an organiser in the late 80s and has organised a considerable number of beauty pageants for men and women and even children around the country including Miss UK, Mr UK, Miss England, Manhunt UK, Miss Scotland and Miss Wales along with a host of local competitions.

The 2007 final was held in Leicester on the 29th June 2007 at the Athena Rutland street Leicester. Mr England 2007 won over £5,000 in prizes including a weekend stay at Champneys , Fudge hair products , clothing from Jack Michael , a years free hairdressing and a years membership to a Healthclub , a holiday to Ibiza and a trip to the next Mr World final in Sanya China. The host hotel for Mr England is The Days Inn Hotel Leicester.
